As an animal lover, I know it’s very tempting to feed street cats and dogs. Sometime, especially when you’re travelling, it’s all you can do, and the cat or dog obviously benefits from this! But if you’re staying in Chiang Mai a while, or you live here, we may have a better option for you.
We can help organise sterilisation and vaccination which will give the cat or dog a really good chance of a longer healthier life. Please help us to make a real difference to the problem of over population
The reason we offer this help is because when you ‘just feed’ a street, soi or moo baan cat or dog they become healthier (great in one way..) So when they mate, they conceive more young and because the mother cat or dog is healthy she gives birth to healthy kittens and puppies. She is getting regular food from you – so most kittens and puppies will survive.
So there are now a lot more kittens and puppies who will grow up homeless, uncared for and neglected, and in 6 months, they too will be having kittens and puppies of their own, so the problem gets bigger and bigger.
When you don’t feed them
The female dogs and cats have fewer pregnancies, conceive fewer young, and quite often only the strongest survive.
A Kind Option is available for your soi cat or dog..
