รูปภาพ : BB is back, บี บี กลับมาแล้วค่ะ

Can you remember me, BB, I’m back to Santisook’s shelter after practicing high jump at the new house. It’s so excited, whenever my owner was not home, I practiced everyday. Even my owner put a pot plant next to the fence, I still jumped over and wondering around the moo ban. Actually my owner is very sad to send me back. I missed her but I could not resist every time I see the fence. Nobody can believe that my rear legs had been paralyzed before. Now I’m at the shelter, I just ran around and around, the fence here is too high for me, too bad…

Written by admin. Posted in Dog and Cat Rescue Story

Nam Puang, a blind cat, has been with us since she was a kitten. Nam Puang was rescued from Bangkok with serious eye’s injury which was a result of the molestation from the youths. Both of her eyes needed to be removed by the VET to avoid an infection. Now she is doing well in our shelter. Nam Puang loves to sit on the top of the wooden pole or lies down on the bench. She plays with other cats and learns how to live happily. Nam Puang will be cared and provided a safe home at Santisook cat’s shelter.

Story of the dog named Wat Pho

Written by admin. Posted in Dog and Cat Rescue Story

One day we got a call from a foreigner who drove a car to visit Mae Kuang Dam, Amphor Doi Saket. He saw a dog was dragging his body along the side of the road. He stopped and asked a guy to check the people around that area about the owner of this dog. The guy told him that he used to have owner but the owner abandoned him and let him live on the street. He was hit by a car and paralysed from the hip. We asked the guy who called us to take him to the VET and we went to check him after. The VET said he could not do anything as he has been paralysed for quite a long time. We went back to talk to the owner whether he let him live in the house and we would provide food for him. The owner did not want him back so we decided to take Wat Pho to our previous shelter at Doi Saket. Then he was moved to our new shelter at San Pa Thong and had been living with us for almost 4 years. He passed away last month from kidney failure which always happens to old dogs. Wat Pho is one of the oldest rescued dogs since we have started our shelter. This is one of many stories of poor and suffered lives resulting from irresponsible owners who abandoned their pets without reasonable reasons.

Old Pug (Nam) found a new home

Written by admin. Posted in Dog and Cat Rescue Story

Old pug (Nam) has moved from Chiang Mai to Pattaya last month. She was adopted by Khun Na who is a kind lady and has a determination to give her a permanent home. After she was abandoned and left to die in the water, we rescued her and found that she had cancer called TvT (Transmissible Venereal Tumor – a sexually transmitted disease). Fortunately chemotherapy treatment is very successful. It was a drama to fly her from Chiang Mai to Bangkok, the VET had to treat her from breathing problem which is normal for pug dog but her condition is too risky to fly. She had been admitted to the hospital for 5 days before she was cleared by the VET. Khun Na picked her up at Suvannaphum Airport and drove her to Pattaya. Now Nam is a new member of the loving family. We are sincerely thanks to Khun Na who wants to give Nam a happy home. It is sad to see many old dogs were dumped because their owners think that they are burdened and useless. We have saved many old dogs and feel sorry for them. They deserve to be loved till the last day of their lives. Nam’s story is one of the happy stories that touch our heart.
