This cat has been shot by the elastic gun in one of the eyes, it was quite serious and her eye had been damaged and need to be removed. Animal’s abuse is very common even we have protection law for animals but the penalty is minimum and people just ignore it. We need to help to find justice for the suffers caused by the human.

Please help donate for medical treatment through our website www.santisookdogsandcats.org. ( 0 Views)

Catching Feral Dogs Chaing Dao Caves

Written by admin. Posted in Activities, Dog and Cat Rescue Story

Do you remember Dragon, the puppy who died after being burnt by boiling tar? Well, earlier this month, and with the help of the local military commander, we brought a volunteer vet team back to Dragons home temple, vaccinating and sterilizing 31 temple dogs including Dragon’s family. We also popped into the Chiang Dao Cave temple for an additional 20 sterilizations. Thank you to all of our supporters, volunteers, and to Dr. Amy Scroff for funding our trip. Check out the video below!

Our talk “Dog is a man’s best friend”

Written by admin. Posted in Activities, Dog and Cat Rescue Story

We had been contacted from Nantachart Grade School to talk to the students of year 1 to year 6 on 29 July 2016. The topic is about why dogs are human best friend and how we can look after our pets. We showed them the good reasons why we should have dogs as our pet. The reasons why many dogs have been abandoned and what we should do to keep our dogs healthy and good behavior. We also show them how to distinguish the different between fierce and friendly dogs and how to approach them.

Our volunteers also show them how to cuddle the puppies and where we should or should not touch some parts of their bodies. The kids were having lot of fun and happy to participate in our activities.

This education event has been successful as the kids have better knowledge about how to look after and handle their pets and also to treat stray dogs. We would like to thank the school for giving us an opportunity to educate the students and hope they will have more understanding how to act towards their pets and show their love to animals.
